Octopus Baits is a family-run business built by two brothers, Chris and Jon, whose lives have revolved around carp fishing since their dad first took them to the water at just two years old.

Growing up, every family holiday was spent chasing carp on new lakes, learning how fish behave and what really makes them feed. From an early age, they were rolling boilies, mixing liquids, and constantly testing ideas bankside.

Chris became obsessed with understanding how carp detect food, diving deep into biology, research, and scientific studies to build bait around proven feeding triggers rather than guesswork. Jon was on the bank putting it all into practice—catching the hard-to-get carp and proving the concepts worked in real-world conditions.

As word spread and more anglers started asking what bait they were using, the brothers began producing bait for friends and locals, refining their recipes year after year.

That passion eventually became Octopus Baits. The belief is simple: it’s not about using more bait, it’s about using better bait—layered with the right ingredients, flavours, and signals that carp can’t ignore.
